Established in 1924, Sterling Thermal Technology designs, manufactures and supplies a range of industrial heat exchangers for customers in over 50 customers worldwide. It incorporates Heat Exchange Industries, Britannia Heatex, Thermo Engineers and Urquhart Engineering.
Using different advanced extended surface and tube technologies, Sterling offers a range of heat exchange products, spares and services.

Sterling also supplies replacement heat exchangers for existing plant on a like-for-like or enhanced design basis. If Sterling has not supplied the original heat exchanger it is also able to reverse engineer a solution due to its in-house design and manufacturing versatility.
Sterling operates from two fully-equipped factories in England with in-house design and machining capability. We weld and machine a broad range of materials, such as stainless and carbon steel, copper alloys, nickel alloys and titanium.
Accredited to ISO 9001:2008, heat exchangers and pressure vessels can be designed and manufactured in accordance with all common international standards including:- PED, ASME (U stamp), CODAP, AFNOR, AD Merkblatter, DIN, API, DNV, BS PD 5500.
Sterling regularly works closely with third party inspection authorities (for both design verification and final inspection) such as:- UDT, TUV, Lloyds Register, SLV, ASME U Stamp, DNV(Norway), GL (German), BV (UK), RMR (Russian), LRS (UK), ABS (US), CCS (China), RINA (Italy), NKK (Japan), KRS (South Korea)
