TRB Chemedica (UK) Ltd is based at Lymedale Business Park, Newcastle-under-Lyme. The company was established in January 2002 as the British subsidiary of the Swiss healthcare group, TRB Chemedica International SA. TRB Chemedica (UK) Ltd is responsible for marketing the rheumatology and ophthalmology product ranges in the UK and Ireland.

TRB Chemedica manufactures a range of non-animal derived sodium hyaluronate (or: hyaluronic acid) injections, designed to relieve pain and stiffness in both large and small joints. OSTENIL® is a treatment for the symptoms of osteoarthritis. It can be injected into the knee, or into any of the other joints in the
body that are classified as 'synovial'.

OSTENIL® TENDON is highly concentrated hyaluronic acid (2%).  The lubricating characteristics of hyaluronic acid increase tendon gliding and reduce adhesions (stickiness). The tendon can work again as if well-oiled.

TRB Chemedica have also developed a unique range of eye drops to help relieve the symptoms of dry eye. The VISMED® range is unique in that it contains not only sodium hyaluronate, but also a number of important ions (salt nutrients) for the cornea that are also found in natural tears. The special formulation of VISMED® products ensures immediate relief from the symptoms of dry eye.
