Thermoflex is a pre-desiccated flexible foam warm edge spacer. For use in insulated glass sealed unit (IGU) manufacturing, Thermoflex has many advantages including its superior thermal conductivity values, pre-applied adhesive side tape, and gas barrier tape for gas filled units. The spacer is manufactured with desiccant already integrated inside the foam, to virtually eliminate condensation inside the sealed unit. Thermoflex can be used on pre-existing sealed unit manufacturing equipment using foam spacer, so no costly investment in new machinery is required. Production methods using flexible spacer can reduce labour costs and waste of material during sealed unit manufacture.
