Ventx Ltd

We are an industrial silencers manufacturer and design to meet a range of customer's requirements. There are a diverse number of applications where industrial silencers could be the perfect solution.

For us, as an industrial silencer manufacturer, we need to know about flowrate, up-stream pressure, up-stream temperature, connection size and type, and noise level required. With this information, we can begin to provide you with a positive, high performing solution.

Hydrocarbons are acquired using noisy methods

There are a lot of problems that people can experience because of industrial noise. It can be physically and mentally damaging, having a long term impact on wellbeing. Plus, it can increase the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace. Thanks to our silencer products, you can make your working environment and the wider area far safer. We provide models like natural gas silencers and many others. Each one serves a different purpose, but they are all efficient when it comes to minimising sound.

Expanding domestic energy reserves and a growing global demand have led to more interest in the oil and gas business. Companies both small and huge are scrambling to locate resources in commercial levels. This is to avoid dependency on foreign sources.

Such an aggressive approach has led to a broader search for natural gas and oil, two types of hydrocarbons. Searches are even going on in places once thought to be too near to commercial and residential developments. Despite the efforts to please landowners here, noise remains a challenge. What we want to do is explore the activities these companies partake in to obtain the hydrocarbons, and how they create noise.

Extraction

Firstly, there is drilling to extract the gas or oil. After geological data confirms the presence of hydrocarbons, the precise location of the well is chosen. It is then staked on the property. A drilling site and access roads are prepared for the rig’s arrival. Then the rig itself, as well as its ancillary, needs moving into place. All of this set up can be noisy.

For the next few weeks, the rig is going to drill into the well. The operation usually goes on 24 hours every day, and uses equipment that produces a lot of noise. As it is a temporary activity, landowners may tolerate the noise. There are cases though where noise reduction will be vital. In such scenarios, it is ideal to use tools like natural gas silencers.

Hydrocarbon production

Let’s say the well discovers commercial amounts of hydrocarbons. The drilling rig moves to make space for production gear to extract the resources from the ground. The oil or gas will either move via pipeline or could go into tanks.

For oil, extraction is a relatively quiet procedure. Contemporary pump-jacks are far quieter if you compare to their predecessors.

With natural gas production however, it is different. Noise is a big issue. You have to treat natural gas and compress it before it can enter the pipelines. Compression can be exceptionally noisy. The systems often run on site for many years continuously. Due to this fact, minimising the noise is critical. Thus, you need a way of lowering it, like a silencer.

Discuss noise and natural gas silencers with us

At Ventx, the solutions we supply benefit both their users and people living in the surrounding area. The latter is vital as loud industrial noise can travel very long distances. Furthermore, they help you to adhere to the established UK environmental standards.

So, if your plant is in need of natural gas silencers, please give us a call. We design bespoke ones to make sure they have the best impact.
