Ventx Ltd

We are an industrial silencers manufacturer and design to meet a range of customer's requirements. There are a diverse number of applications where industrial silencers could be the perfect solution.

For us, as an industrial silencer manufacturer, we need to know about flowrate, up-stream pressure, up-stream temperature, connection size and type, and noise level required. With this information, we can begin to provide you with a positive, high performing solution.

Steam blowing is loud and requires noise control

We are a business that provides specialist silencer products. These devices, if you don’t know, minimise the noise from various forms of equipment. For example, you can have them for boilers, generators, and pipelines. They allow you to carry on working in a much safer environment. Our team is able to provide blow off silencer designs and many more to suit various needs.

Steam blowing is a practice that can be great for cleansing pipe systems. Here, you remove contaminants from your pipe network utilising the speed and force of steam. Thanks to the pipe’s contraction and expansion, steam also removes the mill scale.

The pressurised steam needed to clean the pipes is generated by firing a boiler. This is unlike the pressurise air-blowing method, which is close to the steam-blowing approach.

You need the right equipment here. For example, specialist quick-opening valves are necessary. In addition, you need debris-containing equipment, silencers, and steam-quenching solutions.

Why is steam blowing necessary?

An oxide coating manifests on the internal surface of pipes during the fabrication procedure in the hot working phase. Prior to the line entering service, you need to remove the mill layer from the system. One possibility if you don’t is that the debris may break off and head downstream during start up. These particles have the ability to undermine the pipe network’s instruments and similar critical areas. As a result, removing the scale is wise.

You will need to use noise control

One thing that is necessary during this process however is noise control. Too much fog and noise are generated when steam generators release steam into the environment. The sounds can cause problems with surrounding activity. They can be harmful to people too. Steam needs to cool by condensate to minimise noise levels.

Installing a conventional silencer that operates as an expander should be your first step. What this does is broaden the surface area and hastens steam cooling. This noise lowering practice comes in handy for continuous steam blowing at high pressure.

The second step is quenching. It functions using a water injection system. With this approach, steam loses heat and condenses. Later on, the condensation is partially recovered for use when you blow steam. However, reduction like this is only for low-pressure continuous steam blowing.

Talk to us if you need a blow off silencer

At Ventx, we have more than a decade’s worth of experience in silencer design. Furthermore, we have many years of experience in both quality manufacturing and acoustics. Using this, we are able to create some of the most efficient silencers.

So, talk to us if you need blow off silencer models. We can help you to reduce noise to make various operations safer, including steam cleaning.
