Our NEW Precision PLV Series of hot runner bushings follows on from the remarkable success of our Elite LV bushings.

The streamlined, self-purging flow channel design eliminates hang-ups and permits fast and easy colour changing. The moulding of temperature sensitive polymers is made simple by the distributed wattage heater element, which provides an even temperature profile along the bush length, with no additional heaters being required for most polymers.

The Precision 'D' series pinpoint bushes are simple to install and use and are ideal for applications where gating directly on to a part with a minimal gate vestige is essential, The pinpoint tip coil heater and thermocouple are easily replaceable in the press for easy installation and maintenance.

The NEW DT Tunnel-Gate range of bushes has been increased with the addition of the DT45. All are designed to run small moulded parts where close pitching (cavity centre distance) is required.

Up to four cavities can be gated from the one Precision DT18 bush, or up to 6 from the Precision DT25 and DT45, providing exceptional cost-effectiveness, and permitting very compact mould construction for small multi-cavity parts. Advanced heat transfer technology provides exceptional performance, while the special tip design allows for easy on-site servicing.

Our Precision D-Series Valve-Gate systems have been designed to run small-to-medium shot weights in a wide range of polymers, while our Precision L-Series will handle medium-to-large shot weights.

The gate design provides a zero gate vestige with no bush tip witness ring around the gate, resulting in a very clean appearance, and making the system ideally suited to cosmetic appearance parts, such as toys, medical parts and caps & closures, as well as automotive, white goods and other large parts.

The clean-flow melt channels provide excellent colour changing, while the profiled heater elements ensure an even temperature throughout the system.

For smaller tools, our Compact system permits closer drop centres than standard, allied to a reduced tool height. Minimum fixed-half heights of only 179mm are possible.

All heaters and thermocouples are easily replaced on-site for minimum downtime and maximum productivity.

Angled Tip Bushings

For gating on inclined part faces, our standard Precision PLX375 bush is available with special angled tips which can accommodate moulding faces inclined from the vertical by 25o to 50o, and can be supplied with one or two gate tips per bush.

Extended Tip Bushings

For reaching into inaccessible areas, our standard Micropoint and Precision DG bushings are available with a 10mm extended tip.

For gating deep inside small parts such as Caps & Closures, our Micropoint bushings are available with a 50mm extended heated tip that fits inside a 9mm diameter bore.

To save on toolmaking time, Fast Heat can supply hot-halves made to match your tool layout, with the hot runner system installed and wired ready for use.

Stainless steel tool plates are available as an option, to eliminate waterway corrosion.

Vid-O Water Drainage System


Vid-O Water Drainage System

The Vid-O tool water cleaning and purging system connects to the flow meter on your press to enable easy purging of the water and debris when preparing a tool for removal, or when the tool is not in production.

The Vid-O has three modes of operation:-

  • 'Off' mode, the Vid-O prevents the flow of water into the tool in preparation for tool removal or fitting.
  • Moving the handle to the 'Normal' mode allows the water to flow into the tool as normal.
  • When it is required to purge the tool, the handle is moved to the 'Purge' position allowing high pressure air to be fed into the tool and the remaining water and debris is force fed to the drain of the Vid-O system.

Isobars are high speed, passive, heat transfer devices used in a variety of general heating and cooling applications. Although originally developed for use in plastic moulding applications, Isobars offer innovative solutions to many kinds of heat transfer problems relating to many different technologies, from aerospace to medical.

The Isobar system produces hot dies and moulds with exceptionally rapid warm-up times, significantly shorter recovery rates, and superior temperature stability at the mould face. Typically, the overall performance of the tool will increase by 10—25%.

Isobars are available in a wide range of lengths and diameters, as well as in special geometries. Fins can also be incorporated to maximise heat transfer to a fluid medium such as water, steam or oil.

The Isobar is an evacuated copper chamber, usually cylindrical, which incorporates a metallic internal wick structure and is charged with a suitable working fluid—typically distilled water.

Conductor

Conductor is the proven modular controller from Fast Heat. Mainframes are available in 1, 2, 5, 9 & 12 zone capacities with larger zone tools being accommodated with the use of multiple mainframes fitted to a pedestal.

15 Amp & 30 Amp modules are available and microprocessor technology enables each module to include such advanced features as: Automatic Earth Leakage Detection, Self-Tune and AutoComp.

Input sensor type is link selectable between Type J and Type K thermocouples.
