Our problem solving capability is based on experience, innovation and an understanding borne of many years in the business.

Indeed our lineage goes back to some of the first powered access platforms ever produced in the UK. The Beanstalk, first manufactured in the 1950's, was the forerunner to today's verticle access platforms. While the Safety Raiser and Giraffe were, and in some respects still are, industry standards. Although the early models of these latter platforms were manufactured more than 50 years ago many are still in service today in different parts of the world.

Our innovation in the field of access products has been on-going over many years. We were pioneers in the field of road-rail access platforms, in the field of insulated truck mounted platforms for live line working.
 
 
We were the first in the UK to offer 16 metre, then 20 metre then 22 metre platforms on 3.5 ton GVW chassis cabs.

In the aircraft manufacture, maintenance and airline sectors we have designed and built many innovative products to solve specific access problems.

In addition we have always offered a range of standard products to provide solutions to a range of different access problems.

Truck Mounted Platforms:
We are the exclusive distributor for MULTITEL platforms in the UK and Ireland. MULTITEL Pagliero is Europes premiere and largest manufacturer of truck mounted platforms. In 2008 they manufactured more than 1000 units of truck mounted access platforms.

They are market leaders in France, Italy and the Benelux countries as well as being major players in Germany, Scandinavia and other countries of Europe. In the UK we began working with MULTITEL in 1988. Multitel offer a quality range of products. Most of the platforms we sold in the 1980’s and 1990’s are still in service today. The ALU 16.3 shown below is a 1990 platform re-mounted a few years ago onto a new truck but still in a rental fleet today.
The Multitel range of truck mounted access platforms includes models with working heights from 13m up to 85m. The company have for many years been in the vanguard of new technical developments in the field of access platforms.

We have been manufacturing and supplying vehicle mounted scissor lift platforms to the airline industry for the past twenty years. The access zipper vehicle mouted scissor lift is the benchmark platform for apron aircraft maintenance tasks. Designed specifically to meet the needs of airlines the unit incorporates features to facilitate tasks such as leading and trailing edge inspections and modifications. Apu changes on wide bodied as well as other aircraft types and a wide range of general maintenance and cleaning tasks.
 

Primarily mounted on a ford transit chassis cab the platform is also available on the mercedes sprinter, Citroen, Peugot and a wide range of other chassis cabs.

Spider/Crawler Lifts

A unique range of high quality light weight high performance spider/crawler platforms are the latest development in the multitel range. Based on the highly successful mx range of truck mounted platforms these spider/crawler units offer good working heights but can be transported on a standard trailer towed by a conventional 4 by 4 vehicle. With working heights of 22.5 metres, up to 10m of working outreach and weighing only 2.5 tons these are truely unique products.
