Elastomeric Foam and Rubber
Cellular elastomeric foam and rubber is a type of insulation material. They are popular as an insulating material as they have a high moisture resistance, the rubber cells can absorb and retain moisture and liquids. As well as removing moisture from the space it also ensures steady long-term thermal performance. When wet, the foam insulation provides less insulative properties. Closed cell elastomeric foam and rubber is more resistive to moisture absorption so its durability is impaired by there being moisture. Foam Insulation
Rigid foam insulation consists of sheets of closed-cell polyurethane, polystyrene or other foams. Thermal Break Foam
Thermal break foam is an insulating material which is designed and used to prevent structural elements in a building, such as studs, concrete slab floors and other elements from acting as a thermal bridge.
