Trapezoidal screws have a thread form angle of 30° and, along with ACME (29°), these are still the most commonly encountered type of screw worldwide. Trapezoidal screws offer high strength and can cope with large loads. They have low efficiency,but, due to their ease of manufacture, they are a very cost-effective product.
