Abrasive Waterjet Cutting service

PRV Engineering offer an abrasive waterjet cutting service. Our 5 Axis machinery has the capacity to cut virtually any material up to a capacity of 3000mm x 1700mm x 350mm. Waterjet cutting provides many advantages over alternative cutting methods such as laser, these include cold-cutting, resulting in no heat affected zone (HAZ) or material hardening, waterjet cuts Omni-directionally, which is the ability to cut in any direction, waterjet can also cut virtually any material, it has a small cutting width (kerf), which results in excellent material utilisation, net shape or near net shape parts with no secondary processing required in many applications. Waterjet cutting is particularly 'friendly' to the environment. The process is clean and does not create grindings, chips or hazardous gases and cutting oils are not required.
