Lifting Jacks

Lifting jacks are the most common types of lifting devices which allow one to lift objects to a certain height. Lifting jacks use jack screw or screw threads for lifting heavyweight items. Hydraulic jacks are another type of jacks which differ significantly from screw thread jacks. Hydraulic jacks use an incompressible liquid, normally oil is compressed in a cylinder and the pressure thus created is used for lifting weight to a height. Commonly used jacks can lift weights ranging from 1 tonnes to 3 or 4, although industrial jacks have the capacity to lift weights in the range of 20-30 tonnes or more.
