Butt Weld Fittings
Butt Weld Fittings are a family of fittings used for forming circumferential butt weld joints in pipework systems. The manufacturing process for buttweld fittings include melting the steel by an electric-furnace, or vacuum-furnace, this is then formed by hammering, pressing, piercing, extruding, upsetting, rolling, bending, fusion welding, machining or any combination of these processes. All fittings are then hear treated and welding must be done prior to this heat treatment. Butt Weld Fittings range in sizes and are used in conjunction with ANSI pipe and are designed to provide good flow characteristics.
