Motion Sensors

Motion sensors, often referred to as motion control sensors, come in a variety of types. Encoders resolve linear distances precisely through high pulse counting. Rotational speed sensors integrate the detection of rotational speed and its monitoring seamlessly into one unit. Inclination sensors can be used for angular position detection, and levelling and digital pulse sensors can monitor speed and direction in applications. The different specific capabilities of these four main types of motion sensor: encoders, rotational speed sensors, inclination sensors and digital pulse sensors, provide precise sensing and detection qualities, and share similar guiding principles. Motion sensors, such as encoders, can be used on shafts. Rotational speed sensors are ideal for applications that feature rotating machines. Inclination sensors are used extensively in levelling applications.
