Temperature Calibration
Equipment that is used to measure temperature must be frequently calibrated to ensure it confirms to industry standards (one such standard being International Temperature Scale of 1990). During the process of temperature calibration, equipment and software that is used to measure and test temperature is diagnosed, verified and adjusted. Types of temperature measuring equipment which should be regulatory calibrated includes temperature sensors like platinum resistance thermometers (PT or PRT-100), thermocouples, thermistors and temperature measuring software. Temperature calibration is performed in a wide range of fields including in storage services, product shipping, food processing and electronics manufacturing.
