Ancorite Lays Flooring for a Football Stadium Expansion
3 January 2017Ancorite Surface Protection Ltd has successfully completed a prestigious project to lay a hard wearing resin flooring system for the flagship new main stand at a leading British football club. The flooring was laid during the 2016 closed season with the new stand opening in September.
Ancorite secured the work with main contractor Carillion to supply and install six thousand square metres of Mastertop 1324 resin flooring to the main concourse areas of the new stand. The concourses provide areas for the fans to buy refreshments before they go through to their seats.
Mastertop 1324 is a heavy duty, polyurethane flooring system which can be installed quickly, offers good durability and is easily maintained and cleaned. Due to the flexible nature of the product it can cover several different surfaces including concrete, screed and plywood. The flooring was laid on two levels and Ancorite provided a small team of craftsmen who carried out the work, in a phased programme, with the majority of the flooring laid in July and August 2016.
