Tank Farm Flooring Successfully Refurbished
10 October 2017Ancorite Surface Protection was asked to refurbish the flooring for the Impregnation Area Tank Farm at wood-based panel board manufacturer Egger UK, Hexham, where a number of tanks and other equipment items were positioned in close configuration. The existing flooring showed signs of wear and a durable, easy to clean surface was required.
Ancorite provided an Argelith vibration tiling system with a matching high coved skirting to the perimeter. The tiling was made good around circular tanks and plant legs, giving the new flooring a high-quality appearance. The tiling was laid to falls and a stainless-steel channel had been laid by the client prior to commencement of the work. Ancorite also formed a ramp between the tiled floor and an existing surface at the threshold.
The work was carried out by a small team of skilled craftsmen and the resulting high-performance flooring is durable and easy to clean, meeting the client’s requirements for a practical and robust finish.
