Who are SEMA?
SEMA are the professional body for the storage industry and promote racking safety, installation and use of warehouse racking systems.  We do this through the distribution of technical safety advice, SEMA training and SEMA rack safety inspections.

Inspect, maintain and repair
All storage equipment (such as pallet racking and cantilever racking) is considered to be work equipment and therefore should be inspected, maintained and repaired on a regular basis.

Frequency of racking inspections
Racking inspections should be carried out on a regular basis.  
For a lot of customers a single annual visit is fine, however a bi-annual (twice a year) can occasionally be recommended.
