A glass balustrade can give a contemperary look to any property. Here we have used 12mm clear toughened safety glass. The irregular shaped returning side panel has been cut to an exact shape by computer controlled CNC machines. We finished the balustrade of this seafront property with a stainless steel grade 316 handrail polished to a satin finish.
This amazing steel staircase has been powder coated to the client's exact colour requirement. The glass stair treads were made by laminating toughened glass together. Each top tread has been sandblasted and supported by specially made fixing tabs. It is essential to the finished look that all the fixings are hidden and this has been achieved thanks to a mixture of engineering expertise and creativity.
The stair handrail is made from stainless steel tube, welded to its supports and finished with a bright mirror polish. Toughened glass panels have been custom made to fit precisely form the balustrade either side.
A beautiful balustrade for a first floor balcony.
A special mild steel shoe that was securely fixed into position before installing 12mm thick, clear toughened glass and aluminium colour cladding. To meet safety requirements, the balustrade had to be 1100mm high.
Traditional iron balustrades give beauty, elegance, strength and durability to any home. Choose from classic designs or create something unique.Wrought Iron designs can be used for balustrades, juliette balconies, entrance gates, canopies and even divisional screens. Exterior steelwork can be galvanised prior to applying a high quality polyester powder-coat finish that will last for many years with little or no maintenance.
We can cut glass to any shape or size to fit even the most unconventional spaces. Once the glass has been cut and the edges polished the glass goes through the toughening process. The screens are then fitted according to your design using contemporary purpose made ironmongery. Fittings can be hidden in surrounding finishes to achieve a more minimalist look. The finished product adds the wow factor to your home.
Separate areas of the home or workplace, minimise noise and distraction whilst maintaining natural and artifical light to pass through giving a clean fresh feel to the area.Sliding door mechanisms and supporting steelwork have been retained above and below the visible finishes to enhance the minimalistic effect.
The glass here has lower iron content than standard and has been finished with horizontal bands sandblasted into the surface.

The owner also wanted the glass to appear to continue into the wall as though fixings hadn't been used.
The glass is clear, toughened, and had to be cut precisely to within a 1mm tolerance.
