EXTENSIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESSES HELP SECURE NEW ORDERS AND ENSURE ON-TIME DELIVERY
6 December 2016Brooks Forgings Ltd was recently asked to produce a quanyity of special lifting assemblies, used to safely lift and relocate heavy industrial stillages.
The client was originally sourcing components from abroad and was let down on a critical delivery.
Brooks Forgings stepped in to provide an on time solution that was aided by the comprehensive on-site manufacturing capabilities available.
The assembly comprises of a chain link and eye bolt, produced from high tensile material. The M20 eye bolt was designed and manufactured to operate with a working load limit of 2 tonne. Drop forged, machined and threaded in-house. The chain link, manufactured from 20mm diameter material, was hot bent and flash butt welded which allows for heat treatment following the process.
Once assembled, each component was tensile tested to provide the necessary certification required by our customer.
The order was fulfilled on time and excess stock held in our warehouse for future call off orders.
