Introducing CN Metalworks

Metal Fabrication

Working in close consultation with engineers, architects, project managers and interior designers CN Metalworks are always able to ensure that their metal fabrication requirements are achieved.

By talking to us at the early concept stage means that we are best positioned to advise on approach to design and technical considerations – manufacturing techniques, choice of materials, metal finishes, ongoing performance and maintenance.

Sheet Metal Laser Cutting

CN Metalworks have made a significant investment to meet customer requirements with the purchase of an AMADA LC F1 NT series laser cutting machine.

With rising customer demand for precision laser cutting of sheet metals across a diverse range of applications, the AMADA sheet metal laser cutting systems utilise the latest advances in technology which allows for high cutting speeds and the flexibility to process a wide range of materials like aluminium, steel, copper and brass.

Powdercoating

In 2017, CN Metalworks invested in a new Aquaex 7.5m x 3.5m powder-coating line from leading UK manufacturer RDM Engineering, featuring the unique water wash extraction system.

Powder coating creates a hard finish that is typically tougher than conventional liquid paint.

Industrial powder coatings contain no solvents or chemical carriers like traditional wet-paint systems and only release negligible amounts of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) into the atmosphere, so is seen as a more environmentally friendly application.

Unlike conventional liquid spraying, powder coatings can produce much thicker coatings without the colour running.

CE Mark Structural Steel

CN Metalworks are certified to CE Marking up to and including Execution Class 2 (EXC 2) for the manufacture and fabrication of structural steelwork, a marque which demonstrates compliance with the recognised European industry standard.

In order to be able to CE Mark structural steelwork, all members of the supply chain (importers, designers, distributors, manufacturers and their sub-contractors) must be certified for compliance with the harmonised BS EN 1090 – Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium Structures.

This standard covers fabricated steel and aluminium components for ‘permanent incorporation’ into structures such as buildings, bridges, highways, stadia etc.
