DEM Manufacturing has announced that its latest range of IP67 and IP68 aluminium enclosures has now been upgraded to include enhanced EMI and RFI protection.
The new Deltron 480C and 483C ranges of aluminium enclosures now have combined IP67/IP68 ratings and EMI/RFI protection, making these enclosures ideally suitable for the most demanding electrical and environmental conditions in marine, industrial, food preparation, transportation, leisure, military and aerospace. All are certified to BS EN 60529: 1992.
When using a conductive enclosure, the EMI/RFI screening achieved can be significantly impaired with the application of a non-conductive sealing mechanism. DEM Manufacturing has designed an EMI/RFI seal which maintains conductivity between the lid and box, and is essential to eliminate high frequency radiated emissions. This therefore allows EMI and RFI screening properties to be unaffected, whilst maintaining a watertight seal of up to 1 metre for 30 minutes (IP67), and depths of up to 5 metres for 1 hour (IP68). This means the enclosure is ideal for use in high humidity, underwater applications and applications subjected to heavy spray.
All of this adds up to enclosures manufactured from high grade materials and processes to match the stringent and increasing demands of today's industry.

As a necessary part of the DEM compliance service, our laboratories and test sites are fitted out comprehensively. Conducted and radiated emissions testing is carried out in order to validate the actual performance of systems under strict Test House conditions for TCF construction and EMC type approval. In addition, we also offer on-site evaluation for customers who are unable to bring their equipment to our facilities.

Deltron‘s range of professional phono plugs are manufactured from turned brass, with hollow centre pin contacts.
The ground contact features a patented ‘T´ slot design which provides a positive contact, even on undersized phono sockets. The range features spring cable strain relief, and the plugs can be fitted with colour coding rings for identification. Accepts cables up to 5.5mm diameter.

DEM Manufacturing has launched a new Mains Distribution Unit with 14 IEC outputs. The MDU14L builds on the broadcast-industry standard MDU12L and provides two extra outputs in the same size 1RU rack mounted case.
The power is applied to the unit via a retaining PowerCon connector and a loop-through output is provided. The mains switch controls the output array and an optional switch-guard is available to avoid unintentional switching.
The maximum total output current is 16 Amps and each individually fused IEC output can be up to 6 Amps. LED indicators show that power is available at each output.
The unit has a designation strip to provide clear output identification and the rear of the unit has an integral tie-bar to ensure proper cable strain relief
