DMS technologies

At DMS technologies we understand the difficulties of working with power in the field. Man-portable equipment is only helpful if it is usable. We will work with you to discuss, for example, what weight is acceptable, carrying arrangements and if the equipment can be housed within a trolley style case. With our extensive experience of extreme environments, we can also work with you on suitable handles, connectors and leads. The packs can be smaller with a link cable to increase overall capacity, giving the same or better performance in units which are easier to handle. Cables can be designed to store in the case, either in a recess or, where required, in a lid mounted pocket. Cases can be stackable to aid both transportation and space reduction. We are able to offer various re-charging solutions compatible with the application which can include, for example, a combination of mains voltage, on-board vehicle and photovoltaic systems.

  1. Genesis Batteries

    Genesis Batteries
DMS technologies has long been a distributor of the Genesis battery range from Enersys. Genesis battery plates are thinner, allowing more plates per cell. As a result, these batteries can reach a high rate of charge in fast charging conditions – up to a quarter of the time of conventional batteries. Due to the product’s absorbed glass mat construction, these batteries can be mounted and operated in any position, except inverted. Their low internal resistance provides the capability for high cranking current far in excess of normal battery types.
  2. GridStart

    GridStart
DMS technologies offers a Red Flash™ 650 Grid Start Power Pack which is ideal for connecting to a race car either in the pits, on the grid or in the garage at home, conserving vital on board battery power. Utilisation of the same AGM. (Absorbed Glass Mat) technology, within the Red Flash™ RF650 Grid Start Power Pack, found in our Varley Red Top™ Racing Batteries, provides the ability to harness large amounts of power from a pack weighing 10Kg.
  3. Lifeline Batteries

    Lifeline Batteries
Developed by the Concorde Battery Corporation in the USA, Lifeline Batteries are a direct spin-off from Concorde’s industry leading aerospace battery range. Lifeline Batteries have earned global recognition as the premium AGM battery technology meeting the rigorous demands of a wide range of applications. DMS technologies is proud to have been a distributor of this premium brand for over 2 decades.
  4. Low Voltage Disconnect Device

    Low Voltage Disconnect Device
The Red Flash Low Voltage Disconnect is a solid-state device that will protect batteries from damage and help extend life by preventing over-discharge. The unit monitors battery voltage and will disconnect equipment when this voltage falls below a programmable pre-set voltage. It can also work to disconnect auxiliary loads ensuring sufficient battery capacity is available for other needs such as starting an engine or powering critical equipment.
  5. Military Engine Start

    Military Engine Start
The Red Flash™ Portable Power Pack, using the highest grade AGM batteries, is designed to operate in the harshest environments, reliably delivering large peak currents to start all types of vehicles. The robust polyethylene outer case protects the internal batteries and electronics from damage in the field whilst also reducing the weight of the slave battery system to allow it to be fully transportable and man portable. Our equipment is now used world-wide and has a proven reliability in starting all types of military vehicles including helicopters, battle tanks, armoured vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and light aircraft.
  6. MiniGun Slave Battery Pack Mk2

    MiniGun Slave Battery Pack Mk2
The Mini-Gun slave battery Mk2 was specifically designed to power the 6-barrel Dillon Aero M134D Mini-Gun used by the Royal Navy. Designed to withstand constant use within an extreme marine environment, the unit is contained in a robust housing and sealed to IP67. This compact, portable system features an environmentally protected, externally mounted switch with LED indication, a 50A re-settable fuse and a military specification output connector, allowing the unit to operate whilst sealed. The unit operates at 24V and is capable of continuously supplying over 600W of power, driving the barrel and ammunition feed motors. In the event of a gun jam the re-settable fuse will trip within 20 milliseconds to avoid damage to the gun and associated equipment.
  7. Motorsport Batteries

    Motorsport Batteries
The Varley Motorsport Battery Range has been the PREMIER choice for the professional and club racing car driver for some 60 years and the batteries have evolved over time to meet the changing demands of both motor racing and rally disciplines. DMS technologies is a totally independent, ISO 9001:2008 accredited manufacturer and supplier with strong technical expertise and over 25 years serving motorsport . We are therefore well placed to ensure that the Varley Red Top battery range is the best available for motorsport, with elements sourced from the best suppliers around the world.
  8. NiMH Batteries

    NiMH Batteries
Rechargeable NiMH batteries have rapidly become more advanced and recent developments have further improved their self-discharge characteristics and brought higher capacities to the marketplace. The NiMH battery offers design versatility; they are ideal for custom-build designs and standard applications requiring high performance. Typically they offer a weight saving over AGM or Gel products at a lower cost than new lithium technologies.
  9. Odyssey Batteries

    Odyssey Batteries
The ODYSSEY® battery ingeniously uses Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology to offer, in one box, the characteristics of two separate batteries. It can deep cycle as well as provide excellent cranking power. These batteries are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250A for 5 seconds as well as 400 charge/discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge (DOD). A typical starting, lighting and ignition (SLI) battery can do one or the other, but not both.
  10. Portable Power
