Esspee Fabrication Ltd

Founded in 1964, Esspee has been at the forefront in the supply of advanced engineering materials and precision machined components.

As one of the UK's largest non metallic machinist, our extensive range of products includes : Engineering Composites, Performance Plastics, Wear and Bearing Materials, Vacuum-Formed Ceramics and a comprehensive range of Hight Temperature Resistant Products.

Esspee produces over one million machined parts every year from its facility located in St. Helens. We also have sales offices in Stourbridge (UK) and Istanbul (Turkey).

We are extremely proud of our history and look forward to the continued growth of the company by expanding our existing product range and driving the business forward into new markets.

Our extensive investment program allows us to further develop and enhance Esspee's ability to deliver the quality and service that our customers come to expect from us.

High Performance Engineering Plastics

Esspee's range of engineering plastics are an effective alternative to metal parts in many manufacturing processes. They are thermally and electrically insulation, lightweight, have good wear properties and an extremely cost effective when compared to metal engineered components.

Including Peek, Nylons, Acetals and GRP's, our manufacturing department can produce bespoke precision parts to drawing, along with a fabrication service, where we incorporate the finished parts into sub or final assemblies.

Engineering Composites

Various types of reinforced materials are used, such as Cellulose paper, Mica Paper, Polyester, Cotton, Glass, Carbon, Synthetic fibre & Specialist fabrics. The most commonly used types of resin are Polyester, Epoxy, Phenolic, Polyimide, Silicone and Vinylester.

Our wide selection of adapted resin formulations, coupled with the combination of advanced reinforced layers, enables us to supply intricately machined parts from a wide range of industrial composites. All of our composites have a vast array of mechanical, electrical and thermal properties designed to suit the most demanding of applications.

Advanced Wear & Bearing Materials

Esspee are delighted to have been appointed as distributors and machinists of Tenmat's advanced wear and bearing resistant products.

Railko grades are advanced engineering composite materials, exclusively manufactured by Tenmat. Railko started producing high quality, self-lubricating components in 1957 and became one of the leading suppliers for bearings and wear parts in the marine and rail industry.

Fereform grades are a range of proprietary Tenmat formulations, consisting of a friction modified cured Phenolic resin matrix with high performance fabric reinforcement. Feroform grades are used as bearings in aggressive environments, where low friction, strength and durability are all essential.

Thermal Performance Materials

Esspee offers an expansive selection of advance cement, calcium silicate and alumina reinforce materials for use in thermally and mechanically demanding applications.

We work closely with leading global material manufacturers to combine our machining and fabrication expertise to offer bespoke parts across a huge range on international industries.

Selected for excellent temperature resistance and low shrinkage, our calcium silicate and cement materials guarantee high levels of mechanical performance at elevated temperatures.

Zircar products are specially formulated composites designed to work in excess of 1200°C whilst maintaining their strength and stability in demanding industrial applications.

Advanced Calcium Silicates

Our wide range of advanced calcium silicates offer extremely stable thermal conductivity values across a wide range of temperatures and applications.

Calcium Silicate materials can operate continuously at 1000°C without deterioration or excessive shrinkage while maintaining high levels of compressive and flexural strength.

As well as being able to withstand aggressive thermal cycling, Calcium Silicates are an extremely versatile group of products that we can intricately machine to optimise their performance in the most demanding mechanical and thermal applications.

Our bespoke components are supplied across many industries including Aluminium, Specialist Alloy production, Magnesium, Aerospace, Petrochemical and Power Generation.

Zircar

Zircar products are an extensive line of advanced high-performance ceramic composite materials that excel in demanding thermal, structural and electrical insulating applications.

Ranging in temperatures from 600°C to 1650°C, Zircar products perform at levels where conventional calcium silicates can no longer operate at optimal levels.

Zircar composite materials have become globally recognised for use in induction melting, forging and heat-treatment applications, investment casting, glass processing and hot pressing, as well as many other specialist and high temperature electrical applications.

As long standing distributors of Zircar Refractory Composites, Esspee stock and supply sheets, tubes and cylinders, all of which are backed up with or comprehensive machining service that enables us to produce intricate bespoke components across the range.

Industrial Millboards

Industrial Millboards are strong, thin, dense boards with excellent insulating characteristics that are used within a wide variety of applications where thermal performance, minimal heat loss and exceptional wear resistance are required.

Millboards typically operate in a temperature range between 850°C and 1300°C which makes them the ideal solution for all high temperature gasketing applications. Industrial Millboards are made from mixed refractory fibres, clay, inert fillers and a small amount of organic and/or inorganic binders for increased handling strength.

In addition, Industrial Millboards have become the industry standard solution for industrial roller cladding, where the materials design meets the most stringent requirements of glass and steel producers worldwide.

With an extensive stock of Industrial Millboards and access to our pressing and machining facilities, we can offer precision pressed gaskets or cut and bespoke machined parts to your exact specifications.
