EXHIBITING AT THE SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING & ELECTRONICS EXHIBITION
SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING EXHIBITION 2015 - 10th, 11th & 12th FEBRUARY, FIVE FARNBOROUGH - The South’s largest Manufacturing Technology, and Subcontracting Exhibition.
SOUTHERN MANUFACTURING alongside Southern Electronics and Auto Aero attracted a quality attendance of over 7,800 over just two days in 2013, ensuring that the exhibition remains in pole position over any other manufacturing event in the UK.
It is the largest and most effective annual trade exhibition devoted to engineering and manufacturing in the Southern region and is packed with initiatives and features that attract a quality audience.
If you want to sell to decision makers in the South, this is the event your company needs to attend. For the exhibitor it has an unrivalled proven track record of success, it is much more than a traditional exhibition, it works for you long before the doors open and long after they close
The event is also enhanced by free seminars for visitors keeping them abreast of the latest updates in technology, design techniques and industry legislation.
With its growing following, for 2014 it offers you the only event of its kind to reach industry’s key decision-makers from manufacturers and supply chains in the aerospace, automotive & auto sport, electronics, medical equipment, industrial machinery, food & drink, consumer goods, defence, packaging, pharmaceutical and mechanical engineering industries.
The event is run along side the Southern Electronics and Auto Aero Exhibition. So if you want to meet the key players in the manufacturing industry then Farnborough FIVE is the place to be in February 2015!
Good strategic location and easy motorway access are essential ingredients for attracting busy quality buyers and engineers. Taking place in Farnborough the show is centrally located within easy reach of the UK’s most buoyant manufacturing sectors and is well served by motorway links.
All within an hours travel… Aerospace & Defence, Marine, Medical, Autosport and Electronics, are just some of the key manufacturing sectors with their largest UK presence in the region. Targeted and researched in the show promotional campaign, key decision makers and visitors from these developing sectors constitute a substantial percentage of the event’s audience.
The South East has a highly developed aerospace and defence sector, 22% of the 3,400 UK companies in the sector operate there in a total UK market worth £20 billion. The top ten US aerospace & defence companies are also based in the South East as is the UK’s largest space exploration company. BAE Systems headquarters is situated on the adjacent Farnborough Aerospace Centre along with Lockheed Martin and other market leaders, all are just 2 minutes walk from the show.
The South East comprising Surrey, Hants, E & W Sussex, Oxon, Berks, Bucks and Kent employs 37% of the 24,000 employed in the medical devices sector in the UK.
In the UK Leisure, super yacht and small commercial marine industry (a £3.16 billion revenue market in 08/09), £1 billion or 32% of this revenue was generated by boat, equipment and engine/systems manufacturers in the Portsmouth/Southampton region. (50 miles from Farnborough down the M3).
Many major autosport companies and their R&D supply chain partners are based in the home counties with visitors to the show from McLaren being the most notable from just 10 miles away.
Composites and New Materials are a dynamic and rapidly developing market with key applications in many of the show’s established core visitor sectors. As such a new feature has been developed within the show giving even greater emphasis to this discipline… and not without reason. In 2008 the leading end use of Carbon based fibre composites in the UK was Aerospace/Defence 770 tons, Wind Energy 700 tons, Automotive 250 tons, Marine 160 tons. The total number of people employed in UK in the carbon fibre composites sector is just under 18,000 across 150 employers, their job functions include manufacture, design, R&D, engineering, procurement and assembly. The South East is home to 29% or 44 of these companies (higher than any other region).
