The Video Production Process Explained

Full Motion is a one-man operation, which means that not only do you get a more focused and personal service (and arguably a better video ad as a result) but you also pay less. However, Nick has many contacts in the business (cameramen, voiceovers, graphic artists) and so if you require a larger production, this can be arranged at an extra cost.

If you book a video ad with Full Motion, Nick will arrange an appointment at a time to suit you. This will be approximately three hours in which Nick will discuss your requirements, take video footage of your premises, staff, products etc and finally talk about the script. Within three to five working days from that visit, you will receive the initial draft of the video, with music and voiceover added. Nick will then contact you to discuss any amendments you wish to make. Once you're happy with the video, Nick will supply you with the versions you require so that you can use the video as you please.

Equipment Used

Nick uses a JVC GY-HM100 video camera, an extremely small but robust ProHD camera that is perfect for corporate video production. The camera is mounted onto a Manfrotto 525 tripod, providing the steadiest of shots and super-smooth pans. With rain protection, extra lighting, dollies and Sennheiser mics, Nick has the right kit to handle any environment. All editing is done using Adobe Production Premium CS5: the very latest in video editing software.

Company Background

Having worked for five years creating ads for Yell, Nick Jones decided to set up Full Motion, a specialist video production business providing a direct video ad creation service for businesses. Having attended courses by the BBC which taught him to how to shoot, edit and even do voiceovers, Nick realised that he was able to offer small businesses professional video ads at an extremely competitive price (having much fewer overheads than video production companies). Nick is an associate member of the Institute of Videography.
