IMAG provide the complete repair service for industrial gearboxes and electric motors. Our 24 hour service ensures that plant managers, engineers and maintenance staff have one number to call for their electro/mechanical repairs.
From our head office at Middlesbrough in the North East of England we service the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. We will develop further workshops at strategic locations around the UK to reach further customers on a daily basis.
Our staff have worked within the industry for over a hundred years combined, that wealth of experience is second to none.
A huge range of geared motor component parts are held in stock allowing sameday builds on a wide range of geared motor units.
We offer a full gearbox refurbishment service for all types of gearbox. We will overhaul any make of gearbox to original specifications. Our engineering staff have been fully trained at the Sumitomo Cyclo Factory to dismantle and rebuild the Cyclo range of geared motor units and reducers. If you require obsolete spares we can source/manufacture the required items on a fast turnaround basis.
The service is available 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
We offer full workshop services and can offer fabricated base plates and assemblies. We will also offer to machine parts, covers, end plates etc...
We also offer metal spraying and welding services.

IMAG carry one of the largest stocks of motors in the North East.
Our extensive stock holding covers 2, 4 and 6 pole motors up to 55kw at our Victory works.
We also offer the full range of aluminium and cast iron frame motors.
The motors are held in stock enabling fast “SAMEDAY” delivery. The full range of electric motors can be offered with options such as encoders, brakes, Varmecas, forced vents, etc...
We stock the complete range of Varmeca units and can fit them to any Leroy Somer motor. We can also select inverter drives and assemble panels and motor controls as required.
Atex units are available for use in Zoned areas.

Digidrive SK inverters are a simple and easy to use open loop vector drive. Available in single phase input / three phase output or three phase input / three phase output.

Powerdrive units are flux vector drives pre-built into their own cabinets for ease and speed of installation. This feature all-in-one will considerably reduce your installation costs.
The Powerdrive system is modular allowing easy customization of drives. This enables us to offer faster build times and all drives are customized to your individual requirements.
The powerdrive unit is supplied.
The Proxidrive is our unique IP66 drive which can be mounted in the most hostile of environments. This completely integrated solution eliminates additional cabinets, reduces the number of components, simplifies cabling, solves electromagnetic emissions and increases reliability.
The PB shaft mount units (or Shaft mounted speed reducers) were designed to offer a FAST, EFFICIENT and EASY TO USE fitting method for locating gearboxes directly onto the driven shaft.
The unique output bush design enables a variety of bore sizes to be fitted to each size of unit.
The units are delivered complete with a fitting kit consisting of the required bore bush, torque arm and fitting tool (Hook spanner).
Where required, backstops can be easily installed to fix the direction of rotation.
For material handling in hazardous areas, the units can be provided with full ATEX certification.

The units are available in industry standard ratios of 5/1, 12/1 and 20/1 - Special ratios are available on request
