Interform Manufacturing Ltd

Used as a technique for shaping flat plastic into a 3D form, thermoplastic vacuum forming involves heating the plastic sheet until flexible before withdrawing air between the heated sheet and mould.

Thermoplastic vacuum forming is well-suited for medium runs of production and comes with the following benefits:

  • Reduced tooling charges
  • Significantly reduced machine time and material costs
  • Wider material choice
  1. Plastic Fabrication

    Plastic Fabrication
Interform Manufacturing specialises in making plastic products using thermo vacuum forming techniques. This involves shaping flat plastic into a three dimensional shape, by heating the sheet until it becomes flexible and then withdrawing air from between the heated sheet and a mould. This automated process is well suited to medium volume production runs of between about 100 and 100,000 units. We can also do smaller or larger runs and single bespoke items.
  2. Plastic Finishes

    Plastic Finishes
Thermoplastic vacuum forming is a versatile technique, which means that we can use a wide variety of materials, colours and finishes. All our textured finishes are rolled onto the sheet prior to thermo vacuum forming and we can also offer screen and digital printing.
  3. Plastic Medical Components

    Plastic Medical Components
Interform Manufacturing has been providing components for medical furniture to care homes and medical centres for a number of years. Our thermoplastic vacuum forming service enables us to deliver high quality, affordable, easy to clean elements for medical furniture. Through the materials that we use and the vacuum forming manufacturing process we are even able to provide an anti-bacterial layer put either into the plastic or in the top layer to help prevent the spread of germs and ensure a hygienic environment. The vacuum forming process also produces smooth lines meaning that sharp corners can be avoided. With our considerable industry experience we are also able to provide a bespoke manufacturing service should you wish to determine the size, colour or design of your item. We can also create items such as wipeable storage units, wheelchair footrests and over bed tables designed with comfort and practicality in mind.
