Karmelle Ltd Showcases Whole Package at PPMA 2018

British filling, capping and labelling specialist Karmelle Ltd will showcase a range of machines at PPMA this September - building on its reputation for, not just high-quality, stand-alone equipment, but also complete liquid packaging systems.

The past five years have seen well-established machinery manufacturer Karmelle invest in both its workforce and facilities, enabling it to take on increasingly ambitious turnkey projects.

Most recently, its team designed, manufactured and installed complete filling, capping and labelling systems for Masons Gin, and kefir producer Yorvale.

Managing directors Peter Krawczuk and Brian Dickinson are keen to share these developments with PPMA’s attendees, and will be showcasing machines from their filling, capping and labelling ranges.

Visitors to the Karmelle stand, D46, will have the chance to see an in-line volumetric filling machine, a ‘T’ cork capping machine, and an automatic labelling machine – all of which can be integrated to create a complete liquid packaging line.

Built in Karmelle’s West Yorkshire workshop, the in-line filler features hygienic pumps, which are quick-strip to ensure ease-of-cleaning. Volumes can be easily adjusted using a hand-wheel and digital scale, and the control system accessed via an HMI screen.

Making its show debut, the fully automatic ‘T’ cork capper is designed to place and insert corks into bottles. Again, its controls are accessed via an HMI touch screen. Ideal for distilleries, this machine can be used to automate an otherwise labour-intensive process.

Finally, visitors will be able to take a closer look at one of Karmelle’s front-and-back labelling machines.

Peter said: “Karmelle are renowned for their efficient and reliable stand-alone machines – but, since bringing every stage of our manufacturing process in house, we’ve been able to provide complete liquid packaging solutions for a range of customers.

“We’re looking forward to telling visitors more about our turnkey lines at PPMA this year.”
