Black Nickel Plating

  • Black Nickel can be plated onto any metal and produces a thin jet black finish. It is suitable for applications that require a non reflective surface

  • The thickness of the coating is less than 3 microns so if corrosive protection is required an undercoat of Zinc or Nickel plating  will be necessary

  • Black nickel plating results in a dense black finish onto any metal - it is ideal for parts where a non-reflective surface is required.

  1. Hard Anodising for electrical insulation

    Hard Anodising for electrical insulation
Hard anodising produces an electrically insulating film, so is ideal for the semi-conductor industry. If electrical conductivity is required over certain areas we can mask these off prior to processing.
  2. Hard Anodising for wear resistance

    Hard Anodising for wear resistance

To increase the wear resistance of hard anodising, you need to increase the thickness of the aluminium oxide film , this makes the coating lubricated and hard wearing, and is best suited for items that continually come in contact with each other like ball joints. and is ideal for the engineering industry.

  3. Irridite NCP

    Irridite NCP

Irridite NCP is an environmently friendly chemical process that produces a corrosion resistant coating on aluminium and it's alloys. It can be used as a final finish or as a base for painting, uses include aircraft and car parts. Irridite is RoHS and WEEE compliant.

  4. Selective plating

    Selective plating

We specialise in masking off areas or threads prior to processing on all our lines, whether it is for thread/hole sizes, maybe tight tolerences on componets, or electrical contact requirements.

  5. Surtec 650

    Surtec 650

Surtec 650 is a trivalent chromium free passivate for aluminium, fulfilling the requirements of ELV, RoHS and WEEE.

It also works on alloyed and cast aluminium and meets the requirements of MIL-DTL-81706B and MIL-DTL-5541F.

Suitable as a conversion coating for Magnesium.

Liquid concentrate based on Trivalent Chromium.

Excellent bare corrosion protection comparable to Hexavalent Chromium.

  6. Tin Plating

    Tin Plating

Our Bright Tin process produces a fully bright finish.

In addition to its pleasing appearance, it possesses remarkable corrosion resistance.

It has good solder ability, resistance to finger staining and has an excellent shelf life.

The Bright Tin process is used extensively in the electrical and electronics industries as well as on a wide variety of hardware, domestic and decorative articles.

  7. Zinc Plating

    Zinc Plating

Zinc is primarily used as a coating for steel and provides excellent corrosion protection, although it can be plated onto other metals.

Thicknesses of up to 25 microns are normal and passivation treatments make the plating resistant to finger marking, while also providing a good base for painting.

The passivation finishes include Clear, Colour (iridescent), Black and Olive drab.
