Microline Sawing & Machining Center

NOTE! The Microline has been replaced by the AutoFlow-2 and is now only available refurbished (subject to availability). The machine remains current and is fully supported.

Space saving at a premium but the Microline cutting & prepping centre also packs a big punch for the small to medium sized window and door fabricator with a potential capacity of 400 internally glazed windows per week. The Microline measures 13.5 meters long by 2.3 meters wide and with a very competitive price is ideal for those who cannot justify the cost or just do not have the space for the bigger cutting & prepping centres

Every possible saw cut and prep can be produced on the Microline. This includes forty five and ninety degree cuts, ‘V’ and ‘Y’ notches, trickle vents, drainage, pressure equalisation, upstand removal, espag preps, dog bolts, tilt and turn preps, door locks and hinges, letterboxes, spot preps and anything else that can be required.

Three hundred and sixty degree rotary tooling system allows for unlimited machining possibilities and an unlimited number of profile systems that can be loaded to one machine and run at the same time.

The Microline uses all of the same technology as utilised in the Stuga ZX4 cutting & prepping centres. The only difference is that the output is lower due to less tooling and no buffer station.

ZX5 Sawing & Machining Center

THE ZX5  HIGH OUTPUT SAWING & MACHINING CENTER FROM STUGA for 800 plus windows per week (fourteen sold to date and ten installed)

A very high output sophisticated sawing & machining center developed out of the knowledge learned from manufacturing OVER 200 sawing & machining centers over nearly twenty years.

The ZX5 is the fastest, most accurate and most reliable Stuga ever built.

Launched at the 2017 Fit Show the ZX5 includes ‘Tru-Loc’ gripper system, ‘Y-drive’ saw for very accurate accurate ‘Y’ notch preps, tool breakage detection and profile recognition.

The Tru-Loc gripper system grips on both sawing and machining modules in exactly the same position to ensure accuracy on both sides of the machine. This also means that the ‘Y-drive’ system can be used on the saw module to make both ‘Y’ notch preps with perfect accuracy every time. Moving this function to the saw also increases the overall output. The tenacity of this gripper system allows Stuga to increase power on many functions without the risk of gripper slip thereby further increasing output.

The ZX5 infeed pre-measures bars to avoid loading delays and both infeed and outfeed employ roller beds for smoother and quicker throughput.

Every possible saw cut and prep can be produced on the this machining center. This includes forty five and ninety degree cuts, ‘V’ and ‘Y’ notches, trickle vents, drainage, pressure equalisation, upstand removal, espag preps, dog bolts, tilt and turn preps, door locks and hinges, letterboxes, spot preps and anything else that can be required. Notching is on both sides of any frame of transom profile using saw blades and not milling cutters. Many centers cannot notch on both sides of a profile which can be very inconvenient and usually isn’t explained to the unwary customer.

Three hundred and sixty degree rotary tooling system allows for unlimited machining possibilities and an unlimited number of profile systems that can be loaded to one machine and run at the same time. This rotary system is considerably more flexible and much faster than fixed heads partly because the cutters are much closer to the profile and are positioned as the profile is still moving ready to cut as soon as it stops. The rotating movement of the rotary head is extremely fast but also only has to move small distances between operations as the software optimises these movements.

Separate sawing and machining modules working in harmony ensure that delays caused by prepping and cutting waiting for each other are reduced to a minimum or even eliminated. The ‘U’-shape layout is much more operator friendly than long in-line layouts.

The ZX5 is capable of producing between 800 and 1,000 or more windows per week. The  ZX5 has three more working heads than the ZX3 and an enhanced output saw unit that can easily cope with stated output volumes. Notes! Unlike the ZX4 the ZX3 does not have tool breakage detection or profile recognition but all other functions are the same or similar.

Flowline

The Flowline-3 has long been superseded by the ZX3 but is still fully supported and much sought after (normally upgraded to the ZX3 spec-see ‘Flowline Upgrades’ in the machinery menu)

76 Flowlines were sold and installed between 2000 and 2006. An extremely versatile Sawing & Prepping Centre designed specifically for British window systems. All possible requirements of sawing & prepping required can be carried out on this machine including ninety degree, forty five degree and arrowhead saw cuts, ‘V’ and ‘Y’ notches, trickle vents, drainage, espag prep, all door preps and much more.

The Flowline is designed to remove as much skill and labour from the beginning of the production line as possible and it is the ideal machine for this.

Autocut Sawing Center

The Stuga AutoCut Saw Centre is a fast automat for producing cut pieces from full lengths of 6.5m PVCu profile with little skill. The machine will produce ninety degree, forty-five degree and arrowhead cuts with a high degree of accuracy.

The unique self-centring system on this machine ensures that a perfect arrowhead is produced every time, even when profile width varies from specification. The multi-bar in-feed magazine means that one operator can produce up to 750 ‘reverse butt’ windows in a normal week.

Often copied but never equalled this original fast saw center is the original and still the best.

Why would anyone purchase a double mitre saw for sash and frame production when the Autocut can cut two to three times as fast with much less skill?

Potential customers (and competitors) please note that the output of this saw unit has no relation to the output of our ZX4 sawing & machining centers which have a completely different and much faster loading system together with a number of other enhancements that allow it to give the stated outputs.

One of our most sought after machines in the second hand market the Ecoline has come back into fashion for fabricators who don’t want fully automated sawing & machining. Currently not available as a new product this machine usually gets snapped up quite quickly when the chance occurs. Stuga totally refurbish Ecolines to the latest specification when they acquire them and then offer the rebuilt machine with a full 12 months no-quibble parts and labour warranty. Note! Each Ecoline that comes through Stuga from January 2018 onwards is being updated to a new control system with Microsoft Windows front end software. The Ecoline is now twice as fast in the actual machining cycle than it was previously.

Note! The length of the Ecoline is normally 9.015m but shorter versions are sometimes available.

The Ecoline is a flexible and programmable Prepping Centre designed primarily to work with the Stuga Saw Centre but easy to use with Double Mitre Saws as well. The machine can produce drainage/pressure equalisation, espag/shootbolt preps, trickle vents and all door preps, plus ‘V’ notches.

The Ecoline is designed to produce in the region of 400 ‘reverse butt’ windows per week with little skill and only one operator. This figure will be updated when more details are available. The machine is normally barcode-driven and is fully automatic; it can also work together with the Stuga Saw Centre. The Ecoline is only 9.015 metres in length.

Routermaster 3 axes CNC Router

The Stuga Computer Controlled Router represents a technically advanced system of Router Machining for preparation of aluminium and PVC-u extrusions. The cutting heads can be programmed to move throughout three dimensions to cut or drill any arrangement of slots or holes.

Control System
Using the latest PC compatible computer system, the machine runs a stored program of movement commands. The programs are securely stored on hard disk drive inside the machine. An editor facility allows the programs to be created, edited and stored. Now with Microsoft Windows front end.

Variants
The Stuga RouterMaster can be supplied with three different length cutting capacities and two different height cutting capacities.

Carriage & Cutter Head
The carriage unit features a multi-spindle overarm headstock of three ninety degree opposed cutter spindles. Using standard 8 mm cutters, machining can be carried out on any of the three faces along the entire length of an extruded section.

Material Clamping
Secure clamping is provided by a number of clamp block assemblies. The upward stroke of the clamps will ensure an accurate datum to the top profile blocks. The clamping assemblies are pneumatic powered and actuated by a foot valve.

Autoflow 2 Sawing & Machining Center

The AutoFlow 2 is the latest sawing & machining centre to be introduced by Stuga in Gt. Yarmouth. With a small footprint of only 13.5 meters by 2.3 meters the AutoFlow can produce in the region of 400 UK style casement windows per week in a standard forty hour shift.

In addition to the normal range of sawing and machining operations the AutoFlow 2 ‘VS’ version can also saw at any angle between forty five degrees and ninety degrees as well as produce an angle for ‘VS’ frame to sill cutting. ‘VS’ sills can also be sawn and prepped.

Utilising leading edge technology the AutoFlow 2 comes with Microsoft Windows (English version) a completely updated on-board software and programming setup, optimization on-the-fly and profile recognition.

The AutoFlow-2 was designed to replace the Microline which has since been phased out but is still fully supported. The AutoFlow-2 carries out all of the functions the Microline did but the ’VS’ version can produce the extra ‘VS’ functions in addition to all normal window functions.

The AutoFlow-2 is a fully automated sawing & machining centre utilising the latest technology to efficiently produce uPVC window and door frames including all saw cuts, and all preps such as drainage, espags, trickle vents, ‘V’ notches and all door preps.
