Ian Duckworth Joins Thermoseal Group as Midlands Area Sales Manager
8 April 2019Bringing over 30 years of experience working in the Glass and Glazing industry, both in manufacturing and sales roles, Ian Duckworth has joined Thermoseal Group as its Midlands Area Sales Manager covering the Midlands, Wales and South East.
Ian started his career within the glass industry in 1988 working in an insulated glass (IG) manufacturing role. He then moved into a sales role and has spent 20 years selling IG consumables, mainly decorative products to date.
Ian tells us: “I’m delighted to join the Thermoseal Group team as I have watched the significant development of the Group over the past 10-15 years as it has become a market leading warm edge and consumable manufacturer.
“I have known many members of the team for years having met them at events and industry socials where the camaraderie of the Group and their relationship across the industry has always been evident. Having recently spent some time in South East Asia, I also had the opportunity to work with some of the team to promote Thermobar and Thermoflex Warm Edge Spacers. So when the opportunity was presented to me following the retirement of a long-standing member of the sales team, I jumped at the chance.
“I have been at Thermoseal Group a few months now and would like to say how impressed I have been at the respect that the previous Sales Manager, Colin Cook, has built up with our customers having brought vast knowledge and experience to the role. His shoes have not been easy to fill, but I’m happy to have accepted the challenge and will do everything I can to continue with the excellent work he has done whilst bringing my own personality to the mix."
