The PTP80 Elite GrandMaster Clock is an ideal way to distribute precisely synchronised time across packet networks.  It uses Precision Time Protocol (PTP) to IEEE-1588 v2 to distribute time to remote PTP clients and slaves over a network. Multiple PTP80 Elites can be utilised for load sharing resilience and increased support.

The PTP80 Elite GrandMaster Clock differs from the standard PTP80 in that it has 2 ethernet ports instead of one, both of which have Gigabit Ethernet capability, plus an SFP connector allowing connection to other media such as fibre.

PTP8 Slave Network Time Client

Our PTP8 Slave Network Time Client is a packet based timing and synchronisation solution. 

The PTP8 Slave Network Time Client converts the IEEE1588v2 protocol supplied across a packet network to traditional E1/T1, 1PPS, 10MHz, IRIG B, Serial TOD and customer requested timing signals.

NTP80 Triple-Port Network Time Server

The NTP80 Triple-Port Network Time Server from Time & Frequency Solutions provides a high performance means of accurate time distribution over a local area network (LAN) using Network Time Protocol (NTP). NTP is the industry-standard means of time distribution over discrete networks.

The NTP80 is a stand-alone unit. We also offer the NTP80plus, which provides the same functionality as the NTP80 but with the following additional benefits:

GNSS Time & Frequency Standards

The GNSS series of instruments are precision time & frequency standards that use time signals from Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) as a reference, plus an alternative IRIG-B timecode input, to provide a suite of reliable output and interface options.

GNSS Synchronisation

The unit includes an integral GNSS receiver (choice of GPS, GPS/Glonass or GPS/Beidou) and automatically synchronises to the GNSS signal if at least one satellite is in view. When synchronised to GNSS, the GNSS functions as a STRATUM 1 time reference, and has an accuracy of better than 100 nanoseconds to GNSS Time. The unit is also capable of providing precise position in the event that at least four satellites are in view. The GNSS signal disciplines the internal oscillator to ensure continued operation during periods where the GNSS signal is unavailable.

IRIG-B Synchronisation

The instrument may alternatively be synchronised to an IRIG-B timecode input, with a choice of either modulated or DC Level Shift. Accuracy is to better than 100 nanoseconds (DCLS) or 5 microseconds (modulated). The IRIG-B signal disciplines the internal oscillator ensuring continued operation in case of interruption to the signal input.

Front Panel & Internal Power

The unit is programmable via its front panel alphanumeric keypad. Status and position information is displayed on the front panel LCD. Dual internal power supplies operate redundantly, and in the event of a total power failure the programmed information is maintained.

GNSS-FO Time & Frequency Standard

This model benefits from IRIG-B fibre optic outputs in addition to the standard hardwired outputs:
