The AquaPod gives any volume of rainwater storage in a modular storage system. Simple interlocking pods each of 2280 litres volume can be simply linked together, terminating into an accessible control chamber that houses the harvesting equipment. The Aquapod has been specifically designed for use on larger domestic and commercial rainwater harvesting applications that require much larger volumes of water.
The pods unique low profile design gives it unrivalled strength against other plastic tank systems allowing it to be installed in a 300mm stone surround to inverts of 4 metres, even in a high water table. Pods are connected at the base by a 300mm push fit connector and if utilising more than one pod for storage, they are locked together by steel securing pin for ultimate strength as shown below.
The AquaPod can be installed in non trafficked dry ground conditions with only 350mm of cover meaning the excavation can be carried out without the need for any trenching or shuttering as shown below. In larger commercial schemes several pod runs can connect to a common control chamber as shown in Fig 1 below. This allows connection from various roof and surface areas into one controlled system
A silage tank is a storage tank for silage effluent and it has no outlet pipe. Its contents need to be emptied at regular intervals using tankers.
Silage Effluent has a very high BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and can cause severe damage to the environment if allowed to enter a watercourse. Because of this, silage tanks need to have a special resin liner to prevent this.
