TRUMPF was founded in 1923 as a mechanical workshop. Ever since, it has developed to one of the world's leading high-tech companies for machine tools, lasers and electronics for industrial applications. In fiscal year 2013/14 the Group – which has approximately 11,000 employees – achieved sales of 2.59 billion euros.

TRUMPF Ltd, based in Luton Bedfordshire, is the UK subsidiary of the TRUMPF Group and serves the market for machine tools, laser technology, power tools and electronics.
