Pesticides

Pesticides are a class of biocide used for attracting, seducing, and then destroying any pest. The most common use of pesticides or plant or crop protection products, where Pesticides work to protect plants from damaging influences such as weeds, fungi, or insects. However, the term Pesticide is so broad that it also encompasses herbicides, insecticides, insect growth regulators, nematicides, termiticides, molluscicides, piscicides, avicides, rodenticides, predacides, bactericides, insect repellents, animal repellents, antimicrobials, fungicides, disinfectants (antimicrobial), and sanitisers. Pesticides are used in farming, agriculture and also domestically in gardens. Due to pesticides potential toxicity to humans (and other species) they are regulated by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
