Diaphragm Pumps

A diaphragm pump is a positive displacement pump. Diaphragm pumps use a combination of the reciprocating action of a rubber, thermoplastic or Teflon diaphragm and suitable valves on either side of the diaphragm to pump fluid. Often referred to as a membrane pump, there are three types of diaphragm pumps – 1) Pumps where the diaphragm is sealed, with one side in the fluid to be pumped, and the other side is air or hydraulic fluid 2) Pumps employing volumetric positive displacement, this is where the prime mover of the diaphragm is electro-mechanical (with crank or geared motor drive) or mechanical, (with a lever or handle) 3) Those with one or more unsealed diaphragms where the fluid is to be pumped on both sides. Diaphragm pumps transfer kind of slurry, food processing residual, oil-sludge, debris-laden waste, stones, liquid, sugar, sticks, mud, clay, refinery waste, pharmaceutical, and industrial fluids.
