Peristaltic Pumps

A peristaltic pump is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a wide variety of fluids, particularly those which have to stay sterile. Types of peristaltic pumps include hose pumps and tube pumps. Peristaltic pumps are usually used to pump clean/sterile or aggressive fluids without exposing those fluids to contamination from any exposed pump components. Peristaltic pumps also used in types of heart-lung machines to circulate blood during any bypass surgery, since the pump does not cause significant hemolysis.
