Hydraulic Engineering

Hydraulic engineering concerns itself with the flow and conveyance of fluids, principally water and sewage. Hydraulic engineering is a sub-discipline of civil engineering, which relies on the force of gravity to as a motive force to move fluid. The speciality of hydraulic engineers includes hydraulic structures such as dams, water distribution networks, sewage networks, water collection networks storm water management, levees, sediment transport, and many other processes related to transportation engineering. While many theories used in hydraulic engineering are also used by mechanical, aeronautical and even traffic engineers. Hydraulic engineer jobs can commonly be at industrial facilities and include the management of turbines, pipes, and pumps.
