The Ministry of Transport test (MOT) is an annual test of automobile safety. It also covers roadworthiness aspects and exhaust emissions required for most vehicles over three years old.

MOT test certificates are currently issued in Great Britain under VOSA , an agency within the Department for Transport.

How often do I need an MOT?
If your vehicle is three years old or more, you’re required by law to have an annual safety check - the MOT Test.

Why is the MOT important?
The test ensures that your vehicle meets the minimum legal safety level. Without a current MOT certificate, it’s illegal to drive your vehicle or renew your road tax license.

Class 7: Goods vehicles (over 3,000 kg up to 3,500 kg DGW)
