  1. Electrically and Thermally Conductive, Two Part Silicone Meets NASA Low Outgassing Specifications

    Well suited for use in vacuum environments, Master Bond MasterSil 973S-LO is an adhesive, sealant and coating that passes NASA low outgassing tests. This electrically conductive, two component silicone can be used in the aerospace, electronic, opto-electronic and specialty OEM industries.

    Featuring a low volume resistivity of 0.004 ohm-cm, MasterSil 973S-LO is a silver filled compound that has a thermal conductivity of 9-11 BTU•in/ft²•hr•°F [1.30-1.59 W/(m•K)]. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, rubbers as well as many types of plastics. As is typical for most silicones, MasterSil 973S-LO is highly flexible and has an elongation of 50-100%. This enables it to withstand thermal cycling and mechanical shock. Serviceability for this product is from -120°F to +400°F [-84°C to +204°C].

    MasterSil 973S-LO features a paste consistency with minimal flow, which allows it to be used as a formed-in-place conductive gasketing material. As an addition cured silicone, MasterSil 973S-LO does not require air for cross-linking. Unlike many silicones, it can cure wide cross sections and in depths beyond 1 inch. This formulation offers a variety of cure schedules at elevated temperatures, including 25-45 minutes at 250-300°F or 1-2 hours at 160-200°F.

    MasterSil 973S-LO is available for purchase in 50 gram syringe kits. Additional sizes can be obtained upon request. It has a shelf life of 6 months at 75°F in its original, unopened containers.

  2. Optically Clear, Room Temperature Curing Epoxy Blocks UV Light Transmission

    Formulated for specific optical applications, Master Bond EP30-2LB blocks UV light from 200-400 nm and allows the transmission of visible light from 450-900 nm. This two part system is optically clear with a refractive index of 1.55. It also passes ASTM E595 testing to meet NASA low outgassing specifications.

    Beyond its optical properties, EP30-2LB is a reliable structural adhesive with a tensile lap shear strength of 3,000-3,200 psi and a compressive strength of 14,000-15,000 psi. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass, ceramics, rubbers and plastics. This epoxy has a ten to one mix ratio by weight and flows smoothly and evenly, enabling it to be used for coating, sealing and encapsulation applications. It is a capable electrical insulator, is dimensionally stable and has low shrinkage upon cure. This material also is easily machineable.

    EP30-2LB resists chemicals including water, oils, fuels, acids and bases and many solvents. It is serviceable from -80°F to +300°F [-62°C to +149°C]. This compound has a shelf life of one year at room temperature in its original, unopened containers. It is available for use in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon container kits as well as gun dispensers.

    Ultra Fast, High Temperature Resistant Silicone System

    One component MasterSil 711 is a room temperature, non-corrosive curing silicone compound for bonding, sealing, coating and formed-in-place gaskets.     Fast Setting Metal Bonding System

    EP65HT-1 offers the unique combination of ultra fast cures at room temperature and high thermal stability.     Electrically Insulative Snap Cure Epoxy

    Master Bond EP17HT-3 is a one part, snap curing system that sets up in 20-30 seconds and fully cure in just 2-3 minutes at 250-300°F.     EP21TDCN-LO has a low volume resistivity of 5-10 ohm-cm and a thermal conductivity of 11 BTU•in/ft²•hr•°F [1.59 W/(m·K)]. EP21TDCN-LO is dimensionally stable and bonds well to similar and dissimilar substrates such as metals, composites, ceramics and many plastics.     MasterSil 920-LO: Optically Clear, Low Stress System

    MasterSil 920-LO is an ideal material for the encapsulation of sensitive electronic and optical components, especially when low stress is a critical requirement.     MasterSil 972TC-LO is capable of transferring heat while retaining superior dielectric properties.   7. Non-Yellowing UV Curable System Has Superior Abrasion Resistance

    Master Bond UV15X-6NM-2 is a one component UV curing urethane acrylate system formulated for a variety of bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation applications. This moderate viscosity product features flexibility, toughness and abrasion resistance. It is widely used for fiber-optic, optical, electronic, semiconductor, microelectronic and laser applications.

    UV15X-6NM-2 features an elongation exceeding 200%, which contributes to its ability to withstand rigorous thermal cycling and mechanical shocks. It is serviceable over the wide temperature range of -80°F to +250°F. It also has very good chemical resistance, especially to water, cleaning agents and oils. With a refractive index of 1.50, this compound is optically clear and has impressive non-yellowing properties.

    This special formulation cures readily in 10-30 seconds when exposed to a UV light source. The rate of cure depends upon the system’s distance from the light source, the thickness of the section and the intensity of the light source. It is not oxygen inhibited. Cures can be obtained in sections approaching 1/4 inch thick. As a reliable electrical and thermal insulator, UV15X-6NM-2 is well suited for potting and encapsulation. It also bonds well to a variety of substrates including glass, plastics including polycarbonates and acrylics, composites, metals and many types of rubbers.
