Modal tests are carried out on the component parts of aircraft and spacecraft to check for safety and structural integrity. The results derived from the testing can be used in design modifications and as data for use in flight flutter testing.
At Data Physics we provide modal shakers and dynamic analysers for ground vibration testing. The modal shakers are for the excitation of the aircraft, whilst the analyser will check and assess the frequency responses. Our equipment can be used for stepped sine excitation or normal mode testing.
