Servers

Servers play an important role in computing and can be easily found in most modern offices and workplaces. Servers are made up of multiple CPUs and huge amounts of RAM which are distributed for shared access across a network of dozens or hundreds of computers in an organization. Servers are often found in workplaces where many computers are used as the host server devices are the backbone of any computer network. Servers come handy when there is a sudden surge in workload and additional computing power is required which cannot be provided by personal computers. Servers although being themselves computing devices, differ in many ways from normal computers. CPUs and memory of a server is often equal to hundreds of desktop computers.
