Laser Measurement

Laser measurement is also known as a non-contact way of measuring. It involves using lasers to determine thickness, length, speed, dimensions, profile, moisture and protein of any given specimen. The benefit of laser measurement is the fact that it involves no contact and, therefore, reduces the risk of damage to the part being measured. Laser measurement is most commonly employed when measuring the distance between two points, in which case the laser used is also called a laser range finder which works by beaming the laser from one point to another and having a measurement reported back. Laser measuring is commonly used in the construction, building, engineering, metrology, and architecture.
