Bore Gauges

A bore gauge is used for accurately measuring holes. Some bore gauges are calibrated to 001 inch (.0025 centimetre). Bore gauges give a reading on size, wear, taper and the roundness or ovalness of a hole. They are commonly used on cylinders and pipes. Bore gauges are available both in digital and analogue form. The most common types of bore gauges are telescopic bore gauges, small hole gauges, beam gauges for larger diameter.
