Rubber Seals

There are many different types of rubber seals available, suitable for a vast range of applications, but generally speaking the function of all rubber seals is the same. The seal works to protect the shaft and components and protects from liquids, gases, debris. The seal works to stop any contaminants from damaging the machinery. A common type of rubber seal is a V-ring. These are rubber seals that are suitable for use in applications that bear radial and axial loads. The seal is mounted onto the machinery shaft and will rotate with it. The lip seal is pressed against the housing or bearing and the body of the ring grips the shaft. This type of rubber seal can handle damaged shafts and misalignment, making them particularly versatile. Other types of rubber seals include oil seals and shaft seals. Rubber seals are used extensively in many industries, including agriculture and automotive.
