Tube Cutting

Tube cutting, or tube profiling, are processes that remove material from the tube to create a desired profile and make the tube fit for function. Tube cutting is often referred to as pipe cutting, or plasma cutting, and exists in two forms: hot cutting and cold cutting. In the process of hot cutting, the process is performed with a thermal torch. In cold cutting, a wide selection of hydraulically-powered pipe cutting machines are used since these provide a cleaner cut than a hacksaw. Tube cutting is used in offshore, pipe processing, ship building, pressure vessel, structural and mechanical contracting manufacturing.
