Flow Calibration

Flow calibration is the process of diagnosing, verifying or adjusting the equipment used to measure the flow of fluid or gases to maintain accuracy and cohere to industry standards. Flow calibration equipment that is calibrated during the process of flow calibration is known as flowmeters. In this type of calibration, each type of water flow process requires its own unique calibration. However, a flow meters’ standard can be measured in two unique ways – with a master meter or by the process of weighing mass flow. Flow calibration is performed in the fields of water management, energy and utilities, agriculture, pharmaceutical and aerospace.
