Specialised Mechanical Testing

Specialised mechanical testing is the solution where traditional or typical methods of testing the mechanical properties of products and materials are either not appropriate or cannot be applied. From time to time, the dimensions or nature of a particular material or products may be too awkward to be accommodated by standard mechanical testing equipment. The sample may be too thin or the testing regime may be too complex for a particular instance. In these cases, specialised testing experts can design bespoke tests to uncover the data required. These tests can provide assurance of performance under various conditions and/ or gather additional information on properties not easily measured otherwise. Specialised mechanical testing is of interest to any industry where properties and performance need to be demonstrated, but where standard mechanical tests will not achieve the required results.
