Air Quality and Testing
Air Quality and Testing is the assessment of the air standard within and around the home, office or building to ensure sufficient health and comfort to the occupants. The air quality can affect the surrounding area and environment which can potentially cause health problems to the individual or cause contamination to the building, therefore testing the quality regularly can identify any issues that can then be corrected or monitored. Gases, such as carbon monoxide, or those caused by bacteria or mould, can affect the air quality. These can adversely affect the quality of the air and by testing it they can be identified and solutions put in place to reduce or remove the cause and thus improve health and working conditions. Remedies can and may include additional ventilation, source control or routine cleaning. Air quality and testing is a common practice from homes to large offices by means of small monitoring devices used by the consumer to fully trained professionals carrying out the tests. Appraising the air quality is usually effective in identifying causes that can be harmful and which can then be monitored or controlled effectively to improve living and health conditions.
