    The PCX-7500 is an air-cooled, high power current source that is designed for the purpose of driving laser diodes, bars and arrays.     VCProbe-NIR is ideal for the measurement of small aperture NIR sources. This product is capable of a map within a ±70° viewing angle cone, calibrated in at a wavelength of 940nm.     OFScope-NIR is particularly optimised for measuring large aperture NIR sources.     From February 26 - 28th our principle The Imaging Source will be attending their first ever Embedded World exhibition in Germany, displaying their incredible NEW MIPI / CSI-2 line-up together with a Novel FPD-Link III™ Serializer / Deserializer bridge. The new products feature a wide variety of industrial sensors and supported platforms, therefore emphasising their flexibility when it comes to your challenging applications. Furthermore, the modules directly execute demosaicing, colour correction and other post-processing tasks via the ISP of the embedded platform.

  3. We've come full circle!

    In 2000, the founders of Directed Energy (myself included) sold the company to IXYS in order to scale production of the IXYSRF MOSFET and have closer access to die design resources.
    Over the next 18 years IXYS and Directed Energy developed a number of innovative MOSFETs and RF MOSFET Drivers for the RF industry.
    As of January 2018 IXYS itself was purchased by Littelfuse. The integration of IXYS into the Littelfuse family presented a unique opportunity for me to reacquire the high voltage pulsers and laser diode drivers offered by Directed Energy and move the business back to private ownership. 
    The IXYSRF products which are best served by a components manufacturer will remain part of the Littelfuse family. 
    Rest assured that any open orders for Directed Energy products were transferred along with the business and will be fulfilled by the same great team you have always worked with!"

    Please note that the long standing relationship between Alrad and DEI will continue as before.

    After yet another successful year at the UKIVA’s Machine Vision Conference, it has been a pleasure to see so much interest from new and existing customers and we look forward to working on all of your projects with you! As well as this we also welcomed Julian to the Alrad team at the MVC, and he has already provided crucial attributes to the team and the future of Alrad!     The Imaging Source helped us to steal the show with embedded face recognition systems and their all new MIPI CSI-2/FPD-Link III Modules, which make for a perfect all-in-one option for industrial embedded-imaging needs, containing a range of sensor modules.. Furthermore, we provided a great insight into products for microscopy from Sentech, BitFlow framegrabbers and more! We had a fantastic time at the show and hope that you have found the solutions that you are looking for. We will be counting down the days to MVC 2019 and cannot wait to share what we will be working on to show you in the future

    At 10:30 am, Ryan from our Support and Marketing team conducted a presentation on ‘Lighting and the Importance of Getting it Right’, helping to give members of public a better understanding on the importance of using lighting correctly and efficiently. This was shown through various lighting methods used in machine vision and followed by examples of how you can use different lighting techniques to create entirely different effects. Machine vision is analysing reflected light, therefore to get the best out of your desired image you must understand the principles behind illuminating the image to suit your requirements.     High Power Laser Grating from Bach Research

    • Gratings ruled directly into Gold deposited onto Copper, Invar or Stainless Steel.

    Bach Research offers a comprehensive range of ruled master and replica gratings both plane and curved for a variety of applications:

  8. Fast measurement and inspection with the EyeVision software and Sentech GigE cameras

    The image processing software EyeVision now supports the GigE cameras by Sentech. With the new

    Video Input Channel (VIC) for Sentech cameras, EVT offers now an image processing solution with a

    combination of EyeVision and Sentech. And this combination delivers fast measurement and

    inspection for the production plant – a feature which is mostly demanded, when having to

    detect defects and to reject faulty products in an early stage of the production process

    The Sentech GigE cameras are therefore ideal industry cameras with their fast frame rate and high resolution.

    The powerful team play between  EyeVision software and Sentech  cameras is not only suitable for fast

    inspection flows, such as label printing, but also for solutions for a huge number of image processing applications.

    The application areas are in medical engineering, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry,

    but also in the automotive branch an in most areas of industrial automation.

    And what‘s more, the EyeVision 3 software allows the user, to create inspection programs with only

    a few mouse clicks, even without programming skills. The graphical user interface can be handled

    intuitively and easily. The EyeVision 3 offers the convenience, that the user can create their own

  10. High Power Laser Gratings from Alrad / Bach Research

    Bach Research Corporation is a leading manufacturer of precision custom optics and diffraction gratings.

    Bach high power laser gratings are ruled directly into Gold deposited on Copper, Invar or Stainless Steel

    They feature a high 95% absolute efficiency guaranteed at 10.6 microns (up to 99% available on request) Efficiency can be tweaked from 9 to 11microns.

    Nominal Standard line spacing include:  200, 171, 163, 150 and 135 lines per mm

    Bach gratings have been successfully utilised over an extensive period by various US and European Government agencies, including US Army and US Air Force together with major laser OEMs, national laboratories and multiple universities.

    Bach gratings, for example, have proven effective in lasers with a 5kW output, noting that the intra-cavity location of the grating can be dealing with a factor of approx 50 times more power.

    These components have supported TEA lasers where the grating has survived 100 million shots

    In addition to intra-cavity gratings, Bach also manufacture output coupler gratings, where efficiencies are split between zero and first order (or any orders desired)

    Also offered are gratings that combine beams for increased power.

  11. Sentech America are shipping new USB3.0 VISION cameras
    28 January 2016

    Sentech have launched and now shipping new high resolution cameras using the latest SONY IMX250 and IMX252 Pregius sensors. The cameras feature 3.2 and 5.1 MegaPixel Global Shutter CMOS sensors in both monochrome and colour. The cameras have multiple ROI capability. Maximum frame rates are 75.7fps for 5.1MP camera and 121fps for 3.2MP camera. 8, 10 or 12 bit output is available via the USB3Vision interface. The compact size of the cameras makes them ideal for a wide range of Machine Vision applications.
